If you're struggling with stress, anxiety, or low mood at work, you're not alone. Through the UK Government's Access to Work Mental Health Support Service, you could access up to nine months of fully funded coaching support to help you manage your mental health and thrive in your job.

What is Access to Work?

Access to Work is a government scheme designed to help people with mental or physical health challenges to stay in work. It offers funding for specialist support, including one-to-one coaching, equipment, and adaptations.

Are You Eligible? You may qualify if you:

  • Are 16 or over
  • Live in England, Scotland, or Wales
  • Are in paid work, self-employed, or about to start a job or apprenticeship
  • Experience stress, anxiety, depression or another mental health condition affecting your work

Getting Help with the Application

We don’t manage Access to Work applications directly, but we recommend Accessibility Partners, a trusted organisation that specialises in helping people through the application process. They can guide you step-by-step, from paperwork to claims.

What It’s Like to Work With Us

We know how important it is to feel safe, seen, and supported — especially when you’re talking about big feelings or deep shifts.

At 5th Place UK, you’ll work with practitioners who are trained, trauma-aware, and deeply human. We bring warmth, clarity, and skill to every conversation — and we meet you where you are.

This isn’t a programme you go through. It’s a partnership you grow into. Whether you meet with us one-to-one, join a small group, or take part in a course — we’re here to help you feel more like yourself, and more connected to others.

“It felt like being with someone who actually got it — no pressure, just presence.”

Choose Your Way In

Whether you’re looking for support for yourself or someone else, a conversation with one of our coaches is a simple first step. Share what’s going on. Ask questions. Together, we’ll explore whether therapeutic coaching is the right next step for your situation.

1. Meet Our Coaches

2. Try a One-off Emotional Fitness Class

Experience the space for yourself. No commitment — just support, clarity, and one focused session.

3. Book a Discovery Call

A free, friendly conversation to explore what’s right for you.

Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
